Looking up literature in local and regional catalogues

  • Universitätsbilbliothek Stuttgart-Kataloge

    Here you can search extensively, on a local, national as well as international level: printed books and journals, e-books, e-journals, electronic university publications as well as microfilmed material can be searched.

  • Karlsruher Virtueller Katalog (KVK)

    The KVK is a meta-search interface that forwards search queries to several library catalogues. Available are: Four German compound catalogues (SWB, BVB, HBZ, GBV), the journal database ZDB, the KNO storage catalogue, the VLB, the British compound catalogue COPAC, as well as the online catalogues of the Karlsruhe and Stuttgart libraries.

  • Art Discovery Group Catalogue

    Special catalogue for searching within WorldCat for art historical information sources worldwide.

    In addition to the collections of the participating art libraries (books, journal articles, electronic media, films, sound recordings, etc.), it also includes free and licensed content from online publications and databases such as the OCLC essay database Article First.

     

    For searching, the functions of WorldCat are available, such as various search filters and the option to refine search results.

  • BHA

    Bibliography of the History of Art (BHA). Articles and essays from more than 1,200 journals (The BHA database finished operations in 2007 and its work has been continued since 2008 by the International Bibliography of Art (IBA), which requires a licence and is accessible via a licence from the WLB ).

  • IBA The International Bibliography of Art (IBA) has continued the work of the BHA since 2008. Approximately 500 journals are covered, as well as monographs, collections of essays, congress publications and exhibition catalogues.

Scholarships

        • Forschungsverbund Marbach Weimar Wolfenbüttel (MWW)
          The MWW research association offers several scholarship programmes. On the one hand, the aim is to promote young researchers at the postgraduate level. Particular attention is paid to the field of digital humanities. On the other hand, international researchers are to be given the opportunity to pursue collection-related and cross-collection research questions in one or more of the three affiliated institutions and to exchange ideas with the researchers of the three MWW research projects.

        • The Schaufler Foundation

          supports students at the University of Stuttgart within the framework of the Deutschlandstipendium. It awards two scholarships for the students of the IKG. You can find the application modalities here.
